This is such an awesome thing you’re doing! You’ll want an early night the day before, and lots of energy full foods and drinks! And possibly scary films, to keep you alert?
I know you need ideas, so here are a few of mine:
- Cook each other a 3 course meal, and create a ‘come dine with me’ scenario with star ratings.
- Teach yourself a dance routine, be it from a musical of your choice, or just one you’ve created for StickAid!
- Do a hair and make up session.
- Dress up in bizzare costumes.
- Super hero hour, including improvisation of you all being your super hero, and saving the world.
- A Sing-along session including well known songs, and songs from your channel.

I hope you can take some of my ideas into consideration! I’ll see you there! Congratualations on your 100th video, by the way! :)

Good luck to you gyus!! :D It’s really brilliant you two are doing it! I hope that people will donate! I would like to donate too but I can’t D: But I will be watching the show :D

And you can (propably :D ) take that 24 hours without sleep :) It sounds horrible, but it’s not that hard to be honest :) At some point you may feel really tired but if you stay up, that “feeling” will go away and you will get kinda energetic actually :D

And my suggestons to you show are:
- “learn” some sentences or words of some forgein languages, especially those which sounds weird to you
- Try some tongue twisters in different languages (like hääyöaie) ;D
- Try some salmiakki (Finnish sweets)… but if you do, I warn you, most of the non-Finnish people don’t like it at all, but many Finnish love it :D
- and I’m not sure would this be possible or would it be just posing, but maybe you could do your own Geddan :)
- some music :)

Hey Charlie just a couple of tips to how to stay awake

1, Always stay occupied keep your brain with something to do.
2, Try taking a Product we have over here Charlie ( U.K ) Called Pro Plus there Cafine Tablets that you take every 8 HOURS! that take the Tired feeling away.
3, Drink Coffee and lots off it.
4. This is the last and probably the Hardest to do from all of them and that is cope with the feeling sick you get from being so tired I tend to just feel like =/ all day when I have stayed awake all night before it makes you feel horrible and the only way I seem to cope with it is Eating every now and again, just a snack will do and it will keep it at bay but other then that you should be fine Good Luck and I will be Watching ! The Date is on my Calender ! xD

Hiya Charlie!

So I’m a 16 year old girl, and what a coincidence! I’m in the middle of one of my all-nighter runs, except this is the most outrageous yet. I stayed up for about 31 hours straight (not counting approximately 10 minutes of forced sleep in the car on the way to school). I still haven’t had a good nights sleep yet (it’s 7:40pm now; I still have homework), but if you don’t count how i accidentally fell asleep for a few minutes on my bed or while eating (I had a funny dream while eating dessert) just now, then that would mean that I stayed up for about 33 hours straight. HA! BEAT THAT =))))

Anyways, let me just say that this is a great feat for me. Why? Because, contrary to what Mr. Myles said, I was not drained of my energy at all. Heck, the fact that I’m wide awake right now proves it. :)) Maybe you could tell Mr. Myles about me, in case of the teeny chance he’ll recruit me and I can join you in your Stickaid campaign!!! (please? 8D)

Hi, I’ve got another idea like Ingvild’s, but I think you shouldn’t just speak a foreign language, you should try teaching yourself some tongue-twisters. There are some real fun Spanish and German ones, but I bet something like Norwegian would be a little more exotic.

I challenge you to learn to say the same one phrase in 24 different languages, and say it once each hour, each time in a different language. You need to learn it off by heart, and the phrase must be longer than at least ten words (in English) and be something to do with uniceff or stickaid in generall, or something interesting/useful. Or statistics or a motto or something? :)
I hope whatever happens, it all goes well. Since the latest I have ever managed to stay up is 4am, I wish you luck! XD

I understand the imensity of this challenge……..I really dont, havent stayed up for 24 hours before, the challenge im going to ask you guys to do, out of the few you will be doing, assuming you pick this one, is too make a song, during that time period, and the last few minutes of this 24 hour blast, release it, but then again the other challenge is fitting 24 hours of pure action in the assorted time is challenging, that is of course if you do that, I have made 2 videos a while back, just thought I’d slip that in, they’re ok, but good luck, hope you raise the money

Here are some ideas you could try doing (or for the Challenge Charlie section, it doesn’t really matter, does it?)
PS Before I start, some of these are random, but things people (or maybe just me, who knows,) would want to see. Thanks :)
~ Cover yourself in melted chocolate, a little like when you painted yourself purple, only…not with paint (duh).
~ Create a video on the TalkTalk Bright Star Studio, which, in case you didn’t know, is an online program (Produced by TalkTalk as the name suggests), where you sing or dance to a song, turns it into a music video with neon effects and rainbow coloured lighting, and it then submits it to ITV. The best ones appear before and after adverts to the show X Factor, and it would be great to see you and Myles on the telly! You could also, if you didn’t have enough time to say it, be holding up a piece of paper with the web address and information on what the site is, so more people will visit the site. Even if you don’t appear on TV, the finished video is uploaded to the Bright Star Studio site, where you can watch other videos people have submitted. This is a great way of advertising, seeing as X Factor is such a popular show. (Hopefully it won’t break any copyright rules, but I don’t know about that stuff, I’m only 11).
~ Bake a cake or some biscuits and put absolutely EVERYTHING on top. When I say everything, I’m not just talking smarties and marshmallows, I’m talking marmite, broccolli, ice cream, cheese, wine gums (that maybe haven’t been on the floor in a gummy bar chart according to the number of colours in each pack, no that’d be silly. Who on earth would do that?) Well, you get the gist of it. Anything edible goes, really. Or maybe actually something not edible. (Evil laughter, hehehe).
~ Drink 2 litres of milk for no particular reason.
~ Write a song to perform.
~ Seeing as it’s Stickaid, make a model made entirely of sticks. Super glue is last resort.
~ Create a gingerbread house like the one in Hansel and Gretel (yes, I said HANSEL AND GRETEL :D ), and decorate it in icing, sweets, chocolates, etc. I don’t know what you’d do with it after, though…
~ Recreate a famous YouTube video. I think Charlie Bit My Finger is appropriate, don’t you? Myles could be Harry (the boy who gets bitten, incase you didn’t know) and you could be ummmmmmm… now who is it again? :)
~Make your own 5-10 minute movie. You could make it a spoof or a horror or one of those really cheesy love films. Or maybe even one of those very over-dramatic ones where all of the girls keep crying and saying “You’re cheating on me”, or “Don’t leave me” or “I love you, but I have to go” in a really melodramatic way. Yes, I am implying that either you or Myles play the female :P
~ Recreate the scene from Shrek 4 that everybody knows and loves so dearly. “Do the Roar, Charlie. DO IT!” :]
~Paint your faces into those of, well, whatever you want, really.
~ Make a spoof of one of those annoying TV adverts like:

Or, the ones with a really annoying jingle that is extremely desperate for lyrics, like:

~Make your own mini musical with cheesy songs and dances.

OK, that’s all I can think of at the top of my head. I hope you like them and consider doing one. I understand you’ll get thousands of comments giving you suggestions, so it’s OK if you don’t. I know some of these are awful, but I wrote them down anyway.
Oh, and just a thought, when you do a fan suggestion, are you going to say who sent them to you like you do in you Challenge Charlie videos? I hope so. Just so I know if you do one of mine that it’s mine and not somebody else’s who sent one of my ideas in before me. (Although I see nobody suggesting most of the crazy thing I have.)

I challenge you to go to Tesco and buy everything bought by Q in Paper Towns, at midnight and film the reaction of the cashier. Then use the purchases by covering yourself in them and staying in them for at least an hour. Good luck with it, it’s a brilliant thing to do.

Muahaha! Seeing as I just had a Steampunk wedding and all I can think about is STEAMPUNK, my challange is as follows:

Dress up in Victorian/Steampunk gear and trot about in the most posh restaraunt you can think of. XD

Challenges:

(1) Arm-wrestle the Queen;

(2) Make the world’s tallest busby and put it on for at least one minute;

(3) Sing “Macarthur Park” with ukulele accompaniment;

(4) Do any of the above while wearing your ‘Cloning Charlie’ superhero outfit.

Oh! Also! In my youth, I stayed up for THREE days because of the addicting properties of the internet when my parents went out on vacation with my siblings.

Hallucinations might have happened.

And I thought I was in a tennis match.

And I became insanely paranoid and thought that there were burglers in my house despite combing through it FIVE times and seeing that everything is locked.

And when I went over to my friend’s house because of my paranoia, I watched as her mother’s New Orleans figurines came to life and began to sing and dance all around the window.

Then I started talking a whole bunch to my friend, but apparently she was asleep.

:D But the 24 hour one wasn’t so bad! You’ll feel groggy, but as long as you drink plenty of water and begin to pace yourself towards the end, you’ll be fine. Viel Gluck!

I think it would be really fun and entertaining to see try to rap!

Just want to say, Good Luck with your Stickaid 24 hour Live Blog and want to give you some advice on staying up without no sleep at all. So i have tried staying up for 24 hours countless times so i am very familiar with this. I do recommend that you save some of you energy before you do the challenges and when you stay up it kinda feels like you have jet-lag after a long flight / when you stand up you feel like your going to fall over at anytime / you tend to close your eyes even without yourself knowing your doing it. And despite with everything going on like .. the challenges and all, you will be able to stay awake but it will take a bit of mental strength. So i just wish you guys luck and that you guys can get to your goal on the charity thing a will go on and donate money! :) Oh yes .. and i do have a few challenges that i think will be a lot of fun to do.

Challenge Suggestions :
001. Go on to the street and try to give as many hugs to random people on the street.
002. Skype/iChat/Call some fans of yours [that would be awesome]
003. Put a book on your head and try to make it stay as long as possible.
004. Create your own T- Shirt and give it to someone random on the street.
005. Try to stay in a plank position for as long as you can.

well, i think i should stop now. :P

Did you get lonesome without Alex Day around who’s in Africa right now? Your friend Myles sounds like he is a great guy and fun to be around.You could get your friends to dress in costumes that you each pick for each to wear or the costume of your choice, like the superhero costume you made in your last video. You could run a drag race and see who would be the winner! It would be a hoot to see you in your purple & green superhero costume with green wide fronts running to beat the pants off of Alex, Tom, Ed, and friends who dress up in wild costumes. You know Alex would dress up as Dr. Who which would be a laugh. You could do other sporting events along with the drag race, like a swimming race, like 50 push ups & 20 chin ups or a bike race. Better still a drag bike race in your favorite costumes! :)
A singing contest with your friends who can sing their best love song, novelty song (comedy) , and songs requested by you tubers! You can pick up 5 to 10 songs and make a video and let you tubers judge who did the best or have a panel of judges like they do on American Idol or Who’s Got Talent! You could also have a watermelon or pie eating contest like they do at fairs or picnics in the summertime. A two legged sack
race or a tug a war with with the guys on one end and your girlfriends on the other with mud in the middle! :)

CHALLENGE IDEA! You guys should wear all white and fill balloons with different colors of paint and see who can make the prettiest picture on themselves by throwing balloons at each other.

I have some challenges for you
1. Try singing a lady gaga song dressed in one of her crazy outfits that you made yourself.
2. Try putting mentos in a coke bottle and try to drink the coke while its exploding.
3. Try making a portrait of yourself using like pasta, or string or something like that.
4. Dance the Macerana (cause thats just cruel.)

HEY CHARLIE!!! congrats on your 100 video and good luck with stickaid. I think that you should dress up and talk like the doctor for 30 minutes. Ever since I have started to watch your show i have become hooked on doctor who! It is sooo awesome!

Well, lots of luck towards you, Charlie. But really, as long as you don’t think about it, the 24 hours will pass quickly. Also, don’t eat too much sugar–it will give you a burst of energy, but you’re going to crash quickly. You’re going to want to stick to cold meals and drinks to keep you up, and be sure to pace yourself! Another thing: never get too comfortable in a chair or lie down because they’ll tempt you to fall asleep.

awww. c’mon charlie its not that hard to stay up for 24 hours. once i woke up at 6 in the morning, went to school till 3, went home and got ready and left at 5, went to a lock in at skate heavan and stayed intill 8 the next morning, went home, chilled and talked to friends untill 8 that night, then i went to bed at 9. just to wake up at 6 again for school the next day. and im probably gonna stay up the full 24 hours with ya’ll just to see if i can do it. im sure it will be amazing and ill try to contribute as mutch as i can.

1.) I just wanted to say that your videos are awesomely amazing and that each one makes me laugh throughout the day :)
and 2.) I have a challenge for you relating to your acne song (which my mom still likes to sing when i’m washing my face lol ;). There is a theory that when you use banana peels on your skin it clears up your acne within a few days. So I challenge you to test this theory for a week and document the results (unless you don’t have bad ance anymore, which in that case, congratulations and you can forget my challenge!)

I’ve been watching your videos for a bit now and like what you are doing Charlie, I will defiantly try to pop in and say hi. :)

Well, it looks like some awesome stuff, and I’ll be sure to check out the live show!

First thing: I have some tips to stay awake (I’ve stayed up for 39 hours in a row once, which included 2 days of uni classes, so yes, I’m a pro at all-nighters!):
1. Caffeine is your friend. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, even really gross energy drinks will help.
2. Chocolate-covered coffee (or espresso) beans are your best friends. I recommend buying them in bulk.
3. Especially around 3-5 am, you’ll probably get really tired; bright lights (like a computer screen or such) will help trick your body into thinking it’s daytime.
4. About 1 hour before your normal waking-up time, you’ll get really hyper and easily distracted; it’ll be your chance to do 5 challenges at once!

And another thing:
I challenge you! Charlie! (and Myles if he wants to!) Throw 25 chocolate-covered coffee beans in the air and catch them with your mouth! (They don’t have to be consecutive catches, and you can throw them one at a time.)

I really like all the ideas about you dressing up as Dr. Who, or someone in the Whoverse. I think you should go for the 11th…already got the fez. heyy charlie! i think thats its awesome that your doing this for charity. I’ll stay up with you for the 24 hour live web show because i would like to see if i can do it too. i have done it once but i was younger then and i had a lot more energy. i felt kind of groggy but with some coke and food i felt fine. for a challenge try and see if you can stand on your head or have like an extreme staring contest.

You should have a fan (or someone in the audience?) or a friend make a ridiculous scavenger hunt composed of doing some of the other suggestions at various locations in Bath/nearby area. You could have the people participating in the Stickaid project split into teams and go around doing the tasks, filming it.

Or you could challenge each other to sing songs in different styles (ie Telephone in Country Western style, Aluette as a Rap, etc.).

I’ll stay awake with you Charlie :) Surprisingly, staying awake for a full 24 hours isn’t too difficult; just don’t focus on trying to stay awake. It’s like when you really have to pee- if you think about NOT peeing, it just makes it worse. xD

All I have to say to you is that if you have nothing to do in that apartment of yours meet a girl hang out and with her. If you don’t think someone like that can help fill up your space go out to a pub or take a one day trip to meet some of your relatives or friends that you don’t usually see. Just do something crazy and write about it. It doesn’t matter if it is a piece of **** or is a masterpiece sitting alone in your room is not going to help you. Go bungee jumping, sky diving, do a polar bear jump. It doesn’t have to be something extreme and dangerous. Maybe just talk to your friends, get in a heated argument about Doctor Who or the Judoon and how they follow the law ( including what signs say like the staff only sign ), but surprisingly they break none of their rules. Isn’t kidnapping a hospital with about 1 thousand people against the law, after all kidnapping people against the law. I would say stealing everything inside to but you’ll just have to look that up. You need inspiration if you want to “finish” or at least start on your solo album and for that you need your fans and your critics. So get to it your fans want to hear more and will want to know what your up to.By the way if you actually read this please give credit me for my inspirational online speech and if you don’t read this I will send a copy to you.

Well, you need music in there somewhere :) I mean, what’s staying up all night without some form of music!? Could you cover some of your favourite songs for us? Show us your ultimate playlists?
Also, seeing as you just made your own superhero costume (which, by the way, was hilarious), you could make Myles one and do a couple of scenes together.
This one might be a bit impractical to do live because it would take quite a while, but for another time, try teaching yourself to unicycle! Unicycling is really fun, especially if you’re prepared to completely lose all sense of dignity =P I had loads of fun learning :)

I have stayed up for about 2 day’s my tips are:
-the day before just sleep until the next day
-have a list of the things you will be doing at all times
-include bathroom breaks
-coffee will make you crash eventually so drink mint tea it is very invigorating
-smelling a strong mint scent it will keep you awake
-dunk your head on something freezing cold to stay awake
-NO ENERGY DRINKS IT IS CHEATING AND BAD FOR YOU
-don’t eat a lot of junk food it may feel good but it will make you feel sleepy
-same for stuffing yourself
-stay cold if it is warm you will want to fall asleep
-at a certain time ( it’s different for everyone ) you will go insane and do things like lick a person or a fridge so get Myles to slap you
-you should have a glass of water standing by so you don’t loose your voice in the middle of the show
These are some of the tips I have for you so far so enjoy!!!

You know when you plan your whole afternoon to do nothing but studying because you have a final exam on Monday, and you get so so so bored that you start wandering around on the internet and you find that something that lets you have a couple of laughs for an hour and a half..? good! then you see exactly how my afternoon turned out.
I have no idea how, but at some point I get to a video on youtube that’s entitled ‘My American Accent’ or something like that and I say: “well, let’s see what this red-haired-ron-weasley-look-like guy has to say about it”. And like I told you, you had me for an hour and a half until reality dragged me again to my beautiful obligations.
Saw a couple of your videos (eight, ten.. a couple). I got my own wall of stuff, and I’ve already moved out of home, so I get you on that. Just a tip: there are “walls” of cork that you can nail to the wall and then take down. So much easier.
I don’t understand a couple of things.. like ‘the fez’? whaaat’s that? oh, by the way, I’m from Argentina (that’s where my lack of cultural knowledge plays its part). I’m studying to be a translator and a teacher, so that’s mainly why the title ‘my american accent’ cought my attention; I struggle to acquire an accurate british pronunciation. Success in a slow pace I’d say.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know you entered my room down here in Argentina (you’re super-international now) –though maybe you’ve already got posts from other places.. well, whatever. I bet it’s nice to know you got to some other part of the world you hadn’t imagined.

I didn’t want to write a long comment, but i can’t help myself ._. The thing is that I really like Dr Who because of the stories. Actually, i know some are not so good, but the Doctor always plays his role so well that it ends up being very interesting. I think the way every episode catches your attention is amazing. It’s like every single one makes you hld your breath until the end, but not exaggerated, and that’s something hard to find! Matt Smith is totally great; he has so much energy and strength. And Karen is so aweesomee!
Vicent and the Doctor and of course 11th Hour and The Big Bang were the coolest episodes of this season for me. And now i can’t wait! I can’t wait for the next series! :D

i didn’t know where else to comment, but i just watched your video where you try to talk in an american accent. thats was hilarious I must say. being an american myself, i’ll give you my critique. you sounded very southern and just trying to sound weird. lol it was still hilarious. i think the most accurate thing you said was “squirrel”. everything else just sounded like you were making fun of americans :) but you did pretty well. i’m sure I would be terrible at trying to execute a good british accent.

i forgot to add, you said schedule wrong. its like “sked-jew-uhl”. i was also wondering what are your sources of your fabulous american accent? you should really come to the northeast and hear normal american’s speak. in all, loved the video it made me laugh out loud, literally.

Um, hi, where to start (meaning I’ve got a lot to say so be prepared)? I live in America, and I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and you. Since there aren’t a lot of people on this side of the pond who watch shows on BBC America, no one knows what Doctor Who is (though I’m trying to change that) and i love your doctor who videos just because I get another person’s opinion on it all.
